News and Announcements
Effective immediately, we will no longer accept emails to release students from school. You must send a note with your child or fax us (304-269-8319) a written note with your signature on it. Please make sure you put your child’s name, time they are to be dismissed and the reason they are leaving. Please include your phone number so we can contact you to verify the note. Unfortunately, emails can come from anyone and we have no way of knowing if the email is actually coming from you. We are sorry if this is an inconvenience, but our main concern is the safety of our students.
Please note that Schoology and Khan Academy run best using the Google Chrome web browser.
Attention Students and Parents: Due to safety concerns, students will only be allowed to use the main front doors for entering and exiting the building. This means both side hallways beside the band room and gym will be closed in the morning and during lunch. Students dropped off in the student parking lot will be required to walk to the front entrance. Dropping students off in front of the school will cause traffic delays. Please continue to drop students off in the student parking lot.
Shuttle buses run Monday - Thursday, departing from LCHS at 5:45pm, for students participating in after school activities and credit recovery classes

This year promises to be filled with great learning experiences and fun for all students. We are excited about starting the year off with high expectations and exceeding the goals we set for ourselves. Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents with high expectations. - Bob Beauprez
Attendance Matters - Every Student, Every Day!
Often, we think absences aren't a problem as long as they're excused or a child’s learning won't be affected unless he or she misses several days in a row. Research shows that missing 10% of the school year — which can be just two or three days every month — can add up to so much lost time in the classroom that children just can't keep up. Attendance is critical to the success of our students. We must have our students present and engaged in order to provide them with the opportunities they need to be successful in the future.
