Classroom

Career and Technical Education classes combine standard classroom teaching styles with projects based learning and hands-on skills.

Students can complete in Building Maintenance & Operations through passing the 4 main classes:

  • Building & Maintenance Operations I

  • Building & Maintenance Operations II

  • Building & Maintenance Operations III

  • Building & Maintenance Operations IV

Simulated Workplace

The Simulated Work Place for this class heads to the shop for some hands on work. Skills in this workplace include learning the foundation of working in a shop, safety, masonry block work, wall & floor construction, roof construction, and plumbing & equipment use.

Work Shop

The Building & Maintenance Operation program works under the "LCHS Minutemen Construction" workplace where they can be seen building items for use within our school, installing furniture like desks or shelves as well as building chicken coops for our FFA/Agriculture classes.

Mr. Johnny Oldaker

A Graduate of Lewis County High School with over 30 years experience in construction. Mr. Oldaker is a licensed General Building Contractor, Master Plumber, and Stone & Masonry Block Layer.
