CIS "All in for Me"

"Programs don't change people, relationships do" - Bill Milliken, founder of Communities in Schools.

Eight students from Lewis County were celebrated at the Board of Education meeting on 4-24-23 for the work they've out into being "All in for Me". These students have worked with their teachers and CIS Site Coordinators to meet those goals throughout the year. Those students were:  Helen Allen, Owen Halterman, Robert Nissel, Clara Riley, Matthew Graham, Peyton Butcher, Emily VanBuren and Victoria Shanholtz. Each student got to invite a teacher to be recognized along with them and those teachers were: From RLBMS: Mrs. Rinehart, Mrs. Smarr, Mr. Dejosia, Mrs. Harris and from LCHS: Ms. Spaur, Ms. Eiler, Ms. Carr and Mrs. Wyman. Mrs. Hawkins was representing from Fred Eberle.  Each recipient of the "#All in for Me" award for the 2022/2023 school year received student artwork that was created with the talent of Carly Singleton and Katie Clem.

Thank you to all the students, families, community members, and staff who came out to celebrate these students with us. A special thank you to the members of the CIS WV Team, Amanda Craig, Dr. Robin Lewis and all the board of education members for their ongoing support of this program.  A special reception preceded the award recognition prior to the board meeting.
