Introducing Securly Classroom: We are excited to introduce Securly Classroom, a classroom management and online safety platform that will help our students stay focused and make the most of their online learning experience. Securly Classroom allows teachers to monitor and guide online activities during class, ensuring students are on task and engaged. With this tool, we aim to:
- Encourage Focus: Teachers can view students' screens to ensure they are focused on the assigned tasks and not distracted by unrelated content.
- Promote Learning: Teachers can use features like screen sharing, blocking distracting websites, and chat moderation to facilitate a more productive and interactive learning environment.
- Monitor Safety: Securly Classroom helps us keep an eye on online activity to ensure that students are using the internet safely while at school.
Privacy and Trust: We understand that privacy is a paramount concern for families, and we want to emphasize that our use of Securly Classroom is strictly limited to the school environment. It does not extend beyond the school's network, and we do not monitor students' devices outside of school hours.
In addition to this, it's important to know that all activities on school-owned devices are logged and filtered for their protection. This ensures that students are using the devices responsibly and safely while at school and at home. We maintain a transparent and safe digital environment that respects the privacy of our students.
Key points to remember:
- Securly Classroom is solely for in-school use to support learning and safety.
- We do not access or monitor students' devices when they are not at school.
- We log and filter all student activities on school-owned devices for their protection.
- There is no perfect filter, we still need families and parents monitoring student use of school-owned devices while at home.
