Update for the upcoming move to the Mill.....
After serious consideration, we have decided the following backpack policy for the 26-27 school year. As always, backpacks are subject to search by administration if deemed necessary.
1. Students will not be required to have clear backpacks.
2. Students will be carrying their backpacks from class to class.
3. They will be required to stay in a designated area in the classroom.
4. They will be required to have a label on them for easy identification. (Many students may have similar bags).

We want to thank everyone who came out last evening for the RLBMS Back to School Open House. It was wonderful to see our Patriots and their families come out in full force. We know things were crowded and cramped but we appreciate everyone being supportive and flexible. We understand that for some the environment was too much and they left after picking up schedules. We also realize that some were unable to attend the event for a variety of reasons. We want to make sure that everyone has the chance to get their student's materials and get to meet our staff.
As discussed last night, we have set a day and time to come out to the Mill to pick up schedules, materials, meet teachers, and walk/drive the school campus.
Tuesday, September 1st from 12 to 3, teachers will be set up at the Assembly Hall at Jackson Mill to give out schedules, materials, and to visit. You will also be free to walk or drive the school campus to see where classes will be located. Since teachers will be at the Assembly Hall, classroom visits will not be available. All families are welcome to visit, even if you came to open house.
Homeroom teachers will be reaching out in the next few work days to those students who didn't attend the open house. We will also be offering some pickup locations throughout the county next week for those who are unable to make it to the Mill.
Thank you for your patience and support as we transition to the Mill.

Good morning....
The Lewis County BOE has voted to enter a year agreement with WVU Jackson's Mill that will allow the entire school to stay together and have classes on their campus for the 26-27 school year.
Classes will start Tuesday, September 8th. Transportation will be provided. We appreciate your patience as the intense planning begins.
We will announce the date and time of an evening assembly at LCHS once it has been scheduled. Information, supplies, classwork packets, and schedules will be provided at that time. This will be held at some point the week of August 24th.
We are looking forward to this exciting partnership and to seeing our Patriots again.
